Doris Cruze (Email: cruzeduo@aol.com Phone: 303-798-8072)
Trail Difficulty: Moderate
Directions: Meet at Avoca Park & Ride at the Southwest corner of S. Wadsworth and Highway 285.
We will bird the area just west of the Park &Ride, then drive to Quincy to check areas near the Federal
Correctional facility. Harriman Lake parking lot is at Quincy and Kipling. Expect to see waterfowl and raptors,
as well as woodpeckers, sparrows, doves, and other songbirds. Some walking on level trails; a good trip for
beginners. Bring binoculars, a bird book, water, a snack and/or money for food when we make a rest stop at a
fast food place. Dress for changing weather conditions as the morning can be cool but warming up before we
finish. Register online or contact leader.
