Karen Drozda (Email: drozforte@AOL.com Phone: 303-388-0891)
Trail Difficulty: Moderate
Maximum Participants: 12
Directions: Meet at the Colorado Division of Wildlife on the east side of Broadway and 58th. We will carpool from there.
Please have your State Parks pass if you will be driving. Day pass is $8.
This trip will visit not only Eldorado State Park but also Skunk Creek Confluence Trail (Boulder)
Cherryvale Headquarters. This is an add-on trip with some additional locations in Boulder. The CU Boulder
Skunk Creek Confluence is excellent for migrants and rarities. Closer to the date, leader will decide which
location to explore first. We can expect Yellow-breasted Chats, various warblers, flycatchers, White-throated
Swifts in Eldorado Canyon. The Skunk Creek Confluence Trail is unpredictable as it can still be good for
lingering migrants and rarities. Bobolinks are usually found in the Cherryvale area. PLEASE: If you are on the
06/03 trip wait until the 6/10 trip is filled and sign up on the wait list. Be prepared for an all day trip with
adequate food, water etc. Park pass or day pass required for Eldorado Canyon.
