Trail Difficulty: Moderate
Maximum Participants: 11
Directions: Meet at the Colorado Division of Wildlife on the east side of Broadway and 58th. We will carpool from there.
Please have your State Parks pass if you will be driving. Day pass is $8.
We will first stop in Boulder at Cherryvale Open Space Park to identify the Boblink and Savannah Sparrow
for our Big Year count. We will then continue on to El Dorado Canyon State Park. We will be hiking the
Fowler and Goshawk Trails. The beginning of the trail parallels the steep Dakota Hogback ridge. Habitat is very
diverse. An old burn area has been a location for nesting Lewis's Woodpeckers. Bring the usual supplies and
rain gear. You will need lots of water. Bring lunch. Register online or contact leader.
