Trail Difficulty: Moderate
Maximum Participants: 12
Directions: Meet near the east entrance to the park and the Highline Canal parking lot along Roxborogh Road just before
reaching the park entrance. We will carpool from there, as needed.
We will bird early along the Platte, where we will look for Least Flycatcher, American Redstart, Red-eyed
Vireo, and a strong set of other riparian nesters. Then we will visit accessible lake-viewing spots to see what
waterbirds are around and look for rarities.Trip details may change if construction activity in the park
restricts access. Bring hiking shoes, liquids and snacks. State Parks pass or daily entrance fee required.
