Trail Difficulty: Moderate
Maximum Participants: 15
Directions: Meet in the Lowe's parking lot off of Founder's Parkway in Castle Rock.
All of our destinations will be off of Hwy 115. We will meet at 5:45 and head to our first destination, which
is Brush Hollow Reservoir. Heading back we will hit some side roads on the way to Aiken Preserve. Then we
will hit Rock Creek Canyon as the 3rd stop. Various thrashers, Juniper Titmouse , Scaled Quail, buntings,
tanagers and others are expected. Bring water, food and snacks, We will probably lunch briefly at Brush Hollow
and eat snacks on the trail or en route. Bring bins, sunscreen, bug spray etc. Scopes probably not needed. State
Park pass probably not needed. Because of the duration we are listing this trip as moderate; each trail itself is
probably on the easy side.
